The team were so friendly and helpful. Our favourite restaurant to visit. I tried the new lamb duo. Wow, cooked to perfection. Even though it was very busy, the service was quick and efficient. Thank you for another fabulous visit.😊

Friendly atmosphere, excellent service. Bar staff were very welcoming and polite throughout our entire visit. Meals were hot and plentiful.

Second time visited since December wait on food was very slow, Waited over an hour on first visit, second visit 45 minutes then over 30 minutes for puddings had to ask twice still nothing had to leave as was stressed as had to go somewhere very disappointing as mains was nice though and staff were friendly

Waited an hour and a half , for 2 meals, I had ordered a dessert when my order was taken, but after waiting a further 20 minutes it had still not arrived. We cancelled the dessert !!! To be fair there were only 3 staff on but never ever again !!

I had the Hunters chicken schnitzel with skin on fries with a side salad. The food was piping hot on arrival and well presented. The portion size was large and filling. Service was very good and quick. I request a table near the facilities as I had a gentleman with me who had mobility issues. This was no problem and they were very accommodating. Leah served us and Kieran was the chef of the evening. I highly recommend a visit. As a bonus I was able to get 20% off with my BLC.

Can't even serve fresh sliced bread ended up with stale bread then returned it to the kitchen the same bread was then returned warm having been placed under the grill to liven it up .. Not impressed with the service at all!!

Staff are incredibly friendly, accommodating and genuinely really nice people. The service is faultless and have found the last 4 or 5 visits really enjoyable. Top marks. If every pub/dining experience was like this I would be out every day! Superb. Couldn't ask for better

The main meal took over an hour to arrive and we had a 7 year old with us so it was tricky to keep him occupied. One of the adult meals had a very small portion of meat which was mostly fat. The kids meal had so few beans you could actually count them quite easily. The only satisfactory meal was the curry which was a good size and tasty. We only visit once a year (after staying at Bluestone for a week and staying at the Premier Inn next door) but this was a disappointing visit this time.

Easy to get a table and alter time when running late Very slow service, drinks order and food order Slow service actually receiving food to table Slow service cleaning away main plates and no offer of desserts or further drinks until asked for Quality of food average. Nothing special At least gives blue light discount Staff pleasant enough but obviously unable to cope with customer demand. It was not busy until we left.

Been to other chains owned by Marston's, found them great! The atmosphere of this one was great, place looks amazing, Initially stood waiting at the door to be seated (Which is okay), however towards the end of our time, it became harder to get a servers attention, as It seemed they spend most of the time in the Kitchen, and not manning the bar. Multiple times our group saw people trying to get a servers attention by walking into the kitchen (As there was no one manning the bar/restaurant). Food took a lengthy amount of time to come, and the order was wrong (Again this is okay, it happens). Not sure if on this specific day they were low on staff, service was all around really slow. Comparing to other Pubs owned by the same chain, this is towards the lower end of the list, shame as the place looks so nice!

As I had booked a wedding table for 12 and was confidently told on the phone that the booking was made and that they would lay the table for me if I took my things on a day before or in the morning.. I was delighted as we had guests staying closely by in The Premier inn.. As I phoned a few days before the wedding to check on something, i was told that there was no booking, MY BLOOD PRESSURE WENT SKY HIGH. And I felt sick..after numerous lies that they told me about the manager phoning me about the booking that I never made ????. There was no apology, just blame blame blame.. They then offered me a table later on in the evening..which I declined and said never again would I deal with them as they are untrained on Customer Service.. I know re-name THE LOST COINS.. THE LOST BOOKINGS or THE LOST CUSTOMERS

Appalling !!! Very poor customer service. My partner made a booking for a large table for a wedding reception . The booking was taken over the phone and accepted. 5 days before the date my partner called to finalise details and it transpired that the booking did not exist. Long story short - the staff made up a story about the manager trying to call my partner to say the table wasn't available. No record of this in my partner's phone log. No apology offered in consequent phone calls. Absolute rubbish!. We have eaten here on 2 occasions and the food quality is not of a high standard and the service was slow and staff seemed very thin on the ground. I do NOT recommend. The response from the Lost Coins below is totally untrue !! They are lying about a 'manager' contacting/trying to contact the customer. The customer was assured verbally that the table was booked , no deposit required and the tables would be decorated by staff. Own up to your incompetencies The Lost Coins. No proper apology for ruining somebody's wedding plans. No accountability for your error.
